Fran O’Brien Field

Fran O’Brien Field serves as the home for MIT baseball and was dedicated in the fall of 2015. Over the summer of 2016, the facility received a complete overhaul with new grass, fencing, warning track, bullpens and batting cages to give the Engineers one of the top facilities in the area. Fran O’Brien Field is named after the legendary former MIT baseball coach who guided the team to 255 wins and a 6-4 postseason record during his career. His teams also picked up the first two 20-win seasons in program history, with those coming in 1993 and 1996.
